My experience as an intern at Inhispania

Hi, I’m Dominika, an intern at Inhispania. I am from Poland and I studied Romance Philology at the Catholic University of Lublin, which I finished few months ago. After that, I decided to do this 6 months internship in Spain. I wanted to learn Spanish and get my first experience at work. I was not sure about which city would be the best for me, but finally I chose Madrid because here there is always a lot going on.

During these almost two months that I have spent here so far, I got to know the Spanish culture very well thanks to being surrounded by local people all the time. I have visited many museums and interesting places in Madrid, as well as travelled to smaller towns such as Segovia. I managed to do a big part of those things thanks to the activities offered by the school. Every week Inhispania organizes different things to do that let the students and the interns get to know other international people. Because of that, it is very easy to make friends from many places all around the world.

On a daily basis, I spend most of my time working at the reception doing easy tasks like organizing some of the documents or buying day-to-day-use things needed at school. I’m also in charge of preparing materials for the teachers that they use in the courses, in which I also have the possibility of attending to for free. The level of my Spanish has definitely improved quickly and without big efforts.

I still have 4 months left to complete my internship and I don’t know what I’ll be doing but I hope I will use this time the best I can to make even more friends and good memories! I really recommend you to do this internship.
